Methods and apparatus to manage and maintain process control system field devices using radio-frequency identification (RFID) devices are disclosed. Example apparatus includes non-volatile memory (208) communicatively coupled to field device (122) of process control system (100). Non-volatile memory (208) is designed to store data received from field device (122). Data comprises maintenance records associated with the field device. Apparatus also includes a radio-frequency identification tag communicatively coupled to the non-volatile memory. Radio-frequency identification tag is designed to wirelessly transmit the data to radio-frequency identification reader (206). Non-volatile memory and the radio-frequency identification tag are designed to be physically coupled to the field device.
