FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Hydraulic single-tube shock absorber is designed with the function of locking the suspension of a car. Shock absorber contains a working cylinder filled with working fluid, a rod, working, separating and floating pistons. Working piston is made with bypass channels and discharge valves. Separating piston serves to compensate for changes in the volume of the working fluid. For the purpose of blocking the stroke, a floating piston with check valves, a clamping spring, an external system with a stop valve and an adjustment valve are used.
EFFECT: it is possible to lock the shock absorber rod during a retreat and adjust the damping characteristics.
