SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat exchanger (1) for indirectly exchanging heat between first medium (F1) and second medium (F2), comprising casing (2), which has encased area (3) for receiving liquid phase (L1) of first medium (F1), at least one plate heat exchanger (4), which is arranged in encased area (3), for receiving first and second medium (F1, F2), said plate heat exchanger (4) being surrounded by liquid phase (L1) of first medium (F1) when operated as intended.

EFFECT: according to the invention, collecting channel (5) which is located in encased area (3) is provided in order to discharge a part of liquid phase (L1) of first medium (F1) out of encased area (3).
