SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to pant-type absorbent article (10), such as a pant diaper, training pant, bathing pant, hygiene pants or briefs for incontinence applications, said article has a longitudinal direction (x'), the transverse direction (y'), inner surface (12) facing the user during use, outer surface (18) facing away from the user during use. Article contains, if viewed in the longitudinal direction (x'): first body (150), second body (160) and intermediate crotch portion (170) provided with two leg openings (220, 230), crotch portion (170) extends between first body portion (150) and second body portion (160) in longitudinal direction (X') of article (10). In addition, the outer parts of longitudinal edges (5, 5') of first main body (150) are adapted to be interconnected to the outer parts of longitudinal edges (6, 6') of second main body (160) with the aid of the first and second configurations (180, 180') of the longitudinal reinforced side joints. Each configuration of the reinforced side joints comprises a coupling component associated with the outer portion of the longitudinal edge of the first body portion, and a coupling member coupled to a corresponding outer portion of the longitudinal edge of the second body portion. In addition, each component of coupling components (11a, 11b) and response coupling components (13a, 13b) comprises a first mechanical connector structure and a second mechanical connector structure.
