FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the selective and ecoefficient recovery of lead and silver jointly as a concentrate product from hydrometallurgical residues. Method comprises oxidative leaching of wastes of hydrometallurgical production containing at least lead and silver in the presence of a chloride brine solution and an oxidizing agent to ensure the selectivity of the solubilizing lead and silver by transferring them to the state of soluble chlorides; and reacting the enriched leach solution obtained in the above oxidative leaching with the carbonate compound which acts as precipitating agent thus jointly precipitating lead and silver as a carbonate concentrate. And purifying the concentrate obtained by contacting said concentrate with a carbonate compound solution with 0.01–0.5 % of lead and silver in the carbonate concentrate in dry weight.
EFFECT: simultaneous separation of lead and silver into a single high quality concentrate.
