FIELD: nonferrous hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves extracting lead and simultaneously modifying silver from metal and sulfide forms into chloride one. To that end, products are treated with 200-400 g/l ferric oxide aqueous solution at heating to 100-105 C and agitation. Solution is separated from non-dissolved residue at the same temperature, cooled to a temperature from +20 to -20 C, and crystalline lead chloride is separated and washed with sodium sulfite solution. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
