FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely to methods and systems of passive radar, and can be used to determine the location in the three-dimensional space of a radio source (RS) located on underwater and surface objects (USO), by receiving and then processing electromagnetic waves generated by these RS. System for detecting underwater and surface objects, comprising N receive antennas, a first and second analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a calculator characterized by the addition of sensor lines, a switch whose inputs are connected to the outputs of the sensor lines, and the output on the radio link is connected to N receive antennas, a low-noise amplifier (LNA), N inputs of which are connected to N receive antennas, first and second multi-channel synchronous quadrature receivers (MCSQRs) whose inputs are respectively connected to the first and second outputs of the low-noise amplifier, and the outputs – to the first inputs of the first and second analog-to-digital converters, the first and second information processing channels whose first inputs are connected to the outputs of the analog-to-digital converters, and the outputs are connected to the calculator; controller connected at the input to a calculator whose first output is connected to the second input of the first multi-channel synchronous quadrature receiver to the second input of the first analog-to-digital converters and to the second input of the first information processing channel, and the second output to the second input of the second multi-channel synchronous quadrature receiver, to the second input of the second analog-to-digital converters and to the second input of the second information processing channel; beamformer (BF) whose N inputs are connected to N receive antennas; a radio modem unit whose first input is connected to the output of the beamformer; fiber-optic communication line, the inputs of which are connected to the outputs of the radio modem unit; output signal generating device whose inputs are connected to the outputs of a fiber-optic communication line; transmitting phased array antenna whose inputs are connected to the outputs of the output signal generating device; local data transmission system connected to the output of the calculator, to the second input of the beamforming device, to the second and third inputs of the radio modem unit; special communication manager software connected by a link to a local data network; command post, connected by a communication line with the special software of the communications manager.

EFFECT: system for detecting underwater and surface objects is proposed.
