FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to an asynchronous machine having a cooled rotor. Electric machine has a stator rotatably supported by a rotor having a shaft and a flow guide element. Shaft has an axial hole. Flow control element extends into this axial hole such that the cooling means, in particular the cooling liquid, can flow from the flow guide element into the axial hole or vice versa. O-ring seals the axial bore. When operating an electrical machine, it is possible to determine the moisture content in the cavity of the electrical machine to determine if a contact ring seal needs to be replaced.
EFFECT: ensuring effective sealing of the cooling medium.
