SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a methacrylic resin composition for contactless welding by a heated plate, to a molded article, and to a method for manufacturing the same. Methacrylic resin composition for contactless welding with a heated plate is described, comprising a methacrylic resin containing from 80 to 99.9 % by weight. Monomer units of a methacrylic acid ester and from 0.1 to 20 % by weight. units of at least one additional vinyl monomer co-polymerizable with a monomer of a methacrylic acid ester, and having an extrapolated glass transition temperature (°C) 120 °C or lower, as determined by the glass transition curve obtained by heating from 40 °C to 210 °C, at a heating rate of 10 °C/min according to JIS-K-7121 using α-aluminum oxide as a reference, in an atmosphere of nitrogen gas, using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), wherein the methacrylic resin composition has a melt flow rate (MFR) of 2.5 g/10 min or less at 230 °C under load of 3.8 kg. Also described is a molded article, an element for a vehicle, a method for manufacturing a molded article.
EFFECT: methacrylic resin composition for contactless welding with a heated plate is obtained which can effectively suppress the generation of bubbles when used in a non-contact welding method by a heated plate, a molded article comprising this methacrylic resin composition and a method for manufacturing the same.
