FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of creating threadlike nanocrystals (nanowiskers) for various areas of technology and can be used, for example, in printing industry in manufacture of counterfeit-proof products. Method of obtaining nanowhiskers in the body of a sheet material in the form of a foil of a metal layer between two layers of plastic is carried out by exposing the sheet material to a laser pulse. When a pulse is applied to the foil metal, it is intensely evaporated within the laser spot, the ejection of metal particles at tremendous speed under the pressure of the beam inside the plastic above and below the metal layer. Metal evaporation creates a shock increase in recoil pressure from evaporation in plastic layers, which is many times greater than the pressure of a laser beam. Under this pressure and high temperature, the metal particles are fused with plastic and form filamentary nanocrystals in it.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining many nanowhiskers in the open air and with high performance.
