FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for welding metal sheets. Method is based on the use of a matrix on which the first sheet of metal being welded is laid. Along the perimeter of the first sheet of metal being welded, a sealing braid is laid between the die and the first sheet of metal to be welded. Between the matrix and the first sheet of metal to be welded, the slug of the vacuum pump is driven and a vacuum zone is created between the first sheet to be welded and the matrix using a vacuum pump. Apply to the first sheet of metal to be welded a second sheet of metal to be welded at an angle of more than zero degrees and not more than ninety degrees and perform welding. In this case, the welding seam is not brought to the border of the sealing material. Keep the vacuum to cool the seam.
EFFECT: result is a reduction in residual deformation of the welded metal sheets.
