FIELD: fuel combustion methods and devices.
SUBSTANCE: fuel injector (310) includes gas outer tube (351), gas inner tube (340), liquid tube (370), and heat shield (390). Gas outer tube (351) and gas inner tube (340) form gas fuel annulus (335). Gas inner tube (340) and liquid tube (370) form liquid fuel annulus (336). Liquid tube (370) forms an air cavity. Heat shield (390) extends within liquid tube (370) forming insulating gap (339) between heat shield (390) and liquid tube (370). Heat shield and air gap can reduce the temperature of the radial inner wall of the liquid tube being washed, reducing or preventing the coking of liquid fuel. Dual-fuel injector and a gas turbine unit comprising such an injector are disclosed.
EFFECT: fuel injector for a combustor of a gas turbine engine provided.
