FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a man-machine system and can be used to protect a human operator of a vehicle from the action of vertical accelerations of large values. Protective device comprises a carrier with a seat and a backrest of the chair, guides, bracket, cushioning element. Cavity of the hydraulic cylinder of the cushioning element is filled with a ferromagnetic suspension with 50 % concentration of ferromagnetic particles in the volume of the cavity. In this case, the piston of said element is provided with three magnetorheological chokes. Each of them contains a hydraulic throttling channel, located in the magnetic field inductor. Throttling channel is an opening in the bottom of the piston. Magnetic field inductor is formed by an induction coil and a channel with a flowing ferromagnetic suspension.
EFFECT: level of security of the human operator is increased from the action of high-speed vertical overloads inside the compartments.
