FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a "man-machine" system and can be used for protection of a human operator of a vehicle from the impact of large-scale vertical accelerations. The protective apparatus with poppet valves is comprised of a carrying appliance with a seat and back of a chair, guides, a bracket, and a shock-absorbing element. The cavity of the hydraulic cylinder of the shock-absorbing element is filled with a ferromagnetic suspension with a 50% concentration of ferromagnetic particles throughout the volume of the cavity. The piston of said element is therein equipped with three magnetorheological throttle valves. Each of said valves comprises a hydraulic throttling channel located in the magnetic field inductor. The throttling channel constitutes a hole in the base of the piston. The magnetic field inductor is formed by an induction coil and a channel with a flowing ferromagnetic suspension. The piston of the shock-absorbing element is equipped with three magnetorheological compression throttle valves with a poppet valve including a round plate with cutouts for rebound throttling channels and a return conical spring. The axes of the channels of said magnetorheological throttle valves are therein located at the same distance from the axis of the rod at an angle of 60° relative to each other.
EFFECT: level of protection of the human operator from the impact of high-speed vertical overloads inside compartments or cabins is increased.
