FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building, in particular to devices for converting rotational motion into reciprocating one and vice versa. Three-cylinder device for converting rotational motion into reciprocating one and vice versa contains five external circular gears, three internal fixed gears, gear carriers, satellites, connecting rods, pistons, cylinders. In this case, the centers (O2'', O2', O2) of three identical connected circular external gears are located on the same axis. To the wheel with center O2 along the axis perpendicular to the line (O2''-O2), two more such wheels with centers (O3', O3'') are connected, the internal fixed gears are mounted on the axes (O2'', O3, O3'') and are engaged with the satellite. With respect to the translational masses, namely connecting rods and pistons, a ratio is satisfied, at which the sum of all the translational masses of the right-hand part of the mechanism is equal to the translational mass of the left-hand part of the mechanism, with the translational masses of the right and left parts moving in antiphase with each other along a straight line (O2''-O2).
