SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for filtering suspensions, in particular sugar syrups. Filter comprises a housing with inlet (3) for supplying the suspension to be filtered, a tap for the filtered clear filtrate and additional tap or outlet (5) for discharging the filter cake. Body has cylindrical part (14) with removable cover (6), and in this cylindrical part there are a plurality of filter elements consisting of banded filter bodies, that are wrapped in a filter cloth in the form of a stocking. Filter elements are fixed on the segmented base of the filter, which has inlet chamber (11) for filtrate flowing out of the filter elements, wherein several filter bases together with the filter elements are arranged to be mounted in the housing from the upper side and fixed side by side. Segmental bases of the filter together form a circular insert. Each inlet chamber (11) has filtrate drain hole (12) connected to the annular conduit, which surrounds the body from the outside and is fixed on it. From the pipeline, the collected filtrate is diverted to the connected receiver. Cover in the working state of the filter closes the upper feed opening of the housing.
