SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an accessory for a firearm, such as a rifle, which has a stock, and the stock includes a fore end. Said accessory comprises a fore grip and a mounting assembly attached to an end of the fore grip and comprising a base having two protrusions extending outwardly from the base to form a cradle therebetween for the stock, and comprising apertures corresponding to the band of the bridging member. Said fore grip can facilitate the carrying of the firearm and contain compartments for storing accessories, such as a bipod and the like.
