Combination containing an extract of dried valerian root (Valeriana officinalis) and lavender oil (Lavandula officinalis), in a weight ratio of 7:1 to 1:1, for oral administration in the treatment or prevention of sleep disorders, where the extract of dried medicinal valerian root is obtained by extraction with aqueous ethanol or aqueous methanol, wherein during extraction, ethanol and water are used in a volume ratio of 30/70 to 90/10 or methanol and water are used in a volume ratio of 40/60 to 55/45.
EFFECT: combination described above synergistically prolongs sleep.
