FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, aviation and rocket technology and can be used in heat exchangers. According to the invention, the heat exchange section consists of the main and two end sections, in which the cross-section of the channels varies from rectangular to diamond-shaped or octagonal cross-section of the channels of the main portion, and rectangular channels of the end section of one of the coolants are rotated away from the axis of the heat exchanger, which allows to bring the fluids into different collectors.
EFFECT: decrease of hydraulic resistance and increase of heat exchange efficiency due to transformation of channel arrangement from inline to chessboard-shaped without significant changes in the flow area and channel lengths of each coolant.
