FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in heat exchangers for heating/cooling liquid or gaseous media. The recuperative heat exchanger (8) consists of a front (12) and rear (13) walls, an outer casing (7), inside of which there are channels (9) of the second coolant, having inlet (10) and outlet (11) windows located respectively in the front wall (12) and in the rear wall (13), while the flow area of each channel (9) in the direction from the inlet window (10) to the outlet window (11) decreases. Between the outer casing (7) and at least a part of the outer surfaces of the channels (9) of the second coolant, there is a thermally insulated dividing wall (14) for separating the incoming and outgoing flows of the first coolant with the formation of a longitudinal annular channel (16) of the first coolant. For the passage of the first coolant, partitions (15) are made, installed with the formation of labyrinth channels (17), and the flow area of the labyrinth channels (17) increases in the direction from the rear wall (13) to the front wall (12), through these partitions (15) pass channels (9) of the second heat carrier. Also disclosed is a method for operation of a recuperative heat exchanger.
EFFECT: increasing the heat transfer coefficient, as well as reducing hydraulic losses in the heat exchanger.
