SUBSTANCE: invention relates to storage means on a platform of a vehicle or in a storage area of a vehicle. Storage box (10) on vehicle platform (14) has container (18), docking plate (26) disposed within the side wall of the vehicle platform selectively receiving container (18) on the side wall of vehicle platform (28) above the wheel arch. Coupling plate includes a mounting recess and coupling bracket (30) extending from at least one side wall and including pivoting mechanism (38) configured to operate in a plurality of angular positions, including the engaged position and the fixed position with the docking bracket received by the docking plate. Engaged position is determined by a pivoting mechanism free from engagement with the securing recess and the coupling bracket partially actuated within the docking plate, and the fixed position is formed by a pivoting mechanism engaged with the fixing recess and a coupling bracket substantially free from movement within the docking plate.
EFFECT: invention increases the convenience and reliability of the box installation.
