Machining depth stop for a tool comprises a stop sleeve which is freely rotatably coupled, by means of a sliding or rolling bearing, around the tool. First bearing bush supports the stop sleeve, a second bearing bush sits in a rotationally fixed manner on a shaft sleeve, which can be worn on the non-threaded shaft of the tool and can be fixed thereon by gluing or hot pressing with the possibility of direct clamping of the tool shaft in various types of chuck turning lathe or drilling machine.

EFFECT: optimal concentricity, a given angle of application and precise positioning of the stop are provided, the quality of hole machining is improved.
