FIELD: devices for lifting and lowering coffins.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sphere of funeral services. Device for lowering coffins into graves, when the length of the hole is shorter than the length of the coffin, is made in the form of a frame and consists of beams (1, 2, 7, 8), which are connected to the frames, and the beams (1, 2) are connected to the legs (48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53). Chain drive transmission for moving the belt (26) along the vertical axis and chain drive transmission for linearly moving a part of the device along a horizontal axis are arranged in box (3), while chain drive transmission for moving the belt (25) along the vertical axis is in box (4). Method of lowering the coffin into the grave is implemented by placing the coffin on the roller (27) and moving it until its weight is evenly distributed along the belts (25, 26), and then lowering it vertically along the (X, Y) directions until it almost reaches the hole of the grave, after which the belt (25) is lowered, so one end of the coffin is lowered by partially rotating around the belt (26) vertically in the (X) direction until it partially enters the grave. Then the coffin on the belts (25, 26) moves in the (Z) direction until it is close to the front side (74) of the grave, and then is lowered by partially rotating around the belt (25) vertically in the (Y) direction until it passes to the rear side (75) of the grave and takes horizontal position, after which it will be lowered vertically in the (X, Y) directions to the bottom of the grave, when belt (25) is completely unwound (lowered) from pulleys (33 and 35), as well as belt (26) from pulleys (32 and 34). Finally, belts (25, 26) are disengaged from the pulley (35, 34) and can be raised manually.
