SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment – devices for testing the performance of tank guns. Recoil simulator consists of a pneumatic cylinder attached to the elements of the recoil-counterrecoil system, control unit, pipelines of the air pressure supply system, and mechanical and electrical connection elements. Cylinder is made with a hinged back lid, which serves as a valve to quickly release pressure from the cylinder cavity. Process of tank gun recoil-counterrecoil when fired is simulated. Simulator can be stationary or portable, pressure relief can be carried out using electric or mechanical pneumatic valves.

EFFECT: fast transition of the gun from the recoil to the counterrecoil state.
