By reducing the gas pressure of the utilization in the emptied area up to the pressure of the gas of the integrated gas treatment unit after the primary compression and cooling, the pressure of the recycling gas decreases to the value of the input pressure of the gas of the integrated gas treatment plant, disposal gas is fed to purification from mechanical impurities and moisture when it is present; gas is additionally purified from mechanical impurities and moisture when it is present; disposal gas is injected into gas of integrated gas treatment unit, after its additional purification from moisture and mechanical impurities, it is first compressed and cooled by the mixed gas, the absorbent is first introduced into the mixed gas, the absorbent is first removed from the mixed gas, the secondary gas is compressed and cooled again, the second time the absorbent is introduced into the mixed gas, the second time the absorbent is removed from the mixed gas, the mixed gas is removed from the complex gas treatment unit and transported to a parallel pipeline.

EFFECT: method is proposed for emptying gas pipeline sections from gas contained in them when carrying out repair work in main gas pipeline systems.
