FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the gas industry, and in particular to methods of preparing natural gas for transport through the main pipeline in the Arctic climate and to transport on permafrost. The method for preparing natural gas for transport includes primary separation of reservoir gas, the introduction of methanol as an inhibitor, air cooling of raw gas, cooling in a cold recuperator, low-temperature separation of treated gas, compression of treated gas to the transport pressure in the main pipeline, low-temperature cooling of the compressed gas to the transport temperature in permafrost conditions. After the introduction of methanol, the raw gas is compressed by a booster compressor, which raises the pressure to 3.5÷66.5 MPa. After the raw gas is cooled in the heat exchanger, it is subjected to low-temperature cooling in the evaporator to a temperature not higher than minus 40°C by using a refrigerant with a boiling point of minus 47±3°C.

EFFECT: high-quality preparation of natural gas for transport in permafrost conditions while reducing capital and operating costs.
