FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used to support roadways with friction rock stabilisers. Friction rock stabiliser includes a metal tube with a longitudinal slot along the entire length and with an external dimension of cross-section exceeding a hole size. At the front end, the stabiliser has a conical shape, and at the rear end there is a support assembly. When supporting roadways in rocks of medium and high hardness, the cross section of the tube is oval. Minor axis of the oval is made smaller than the hole size. Major axis of the oval exceeds the hole size. Longitudinal slot of the stabiliser is located in an area with the least curvature.
EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of the functional capabilities of the device when supporting roadways in rocks characterized by fracturing and have liability to rock fall.
