FIELD: medicine; hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering of fibrous materials and relates to filaments and fibrous structures containing same. Filament contains one or more filament-forming materials containing one or more copolymers of vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol with a low degree of hydrolysis, and one or more active agents present in the filament, wherein one or more filament-forming materials and one or more active agents are present in the filament in a weight ratio of filament-forming material to active agents of 1.85 or less.
EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of filaments containing copolymers of vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol, characterised by improved dissolution, as well as the presence therein of active agents that can be released from the filaments, subject to the conditions of the intended use.
