SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for tripping operations for a drill pipe string. Pipe holder includes several joint cams that are pushed inward in the closed position of the drill pipe clips and extend outward at the open position for the exhaust pipe, drives for moving said cams between the indicated positions, means using compressed gas for exerting a force on the drive to keep said cams in the closed position, in which the gas spring is fixed relative to the body, the stem of which is connected to the drive in such a way that its extreme position corresponds to the closed position of the cams, a hydraulic operator for exerting a force on the drive to overcome the force of the said gas spring to produce the opening of the cartridge. Cams have carbide clamps with a ribbed surface. As a hydraulic operator, one hydraulic cylinder is used to provide force to the actuator to produce opening clamps, the stem of which is perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and is attached to one of two drives located diametrically relative to the axis of the pipe, the second of which is fixed relative to the cylinder body. Direction of movement of the gas spring rod is also perpendicular to the axis of the pipe. Carbide clamps are arranged in pairs in four rows with a pitch equal to 40–60 mm along the length of the pipe, and an angle α of location of the clamps in the pair, comprising 20–30° from the specified diameter.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability of the design.
