FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for measuring the water content of well production, i.e., estimating the share of oil and water in the produced formation fluid. Measurement technology is based on the measurement of the pressure difference in a vertically oriented vessel containing well production in the form of reservoir oil, associated water and gas. Pressure is measured by stationary sensors at two points of the well - inside a flow string, closest to the discharge of the centrifugal pump. Pressure sensors are located at a distance known vertically, and the diameter of the flow string is chosen as large as possible so that the pressure loss on friction is minimal. Water cut of the well production is determined by the mathematical formula in which the density of oil and water is laid in a control station as known values at measured values of pressure and temperature, therefore, temperature sensors are also located near the pressure sensors in the flow string.
EFFECT: technical result is to create a method for estimating the water cut of well oil suitable for any well composition for oil, associated water and gas.
