FIELD: engines and pumps, mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to determine the content of free gas in the flow of production fluid at the intake of a deep-well pump in the well conditions. Method consists in measuring the volume of free gas in the gas-liquid volume of production fluid. In this case, under the submersible electric motor of the deep-well electric centrifugal pump, two pressure sensors are installed inside the casing at a fixed vertical distance from each other, which transmit pressure information at a given periodicity to the controller of the well operation control station located on the ground surface, and the content of free gas is determined by a mathematical formula.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure the protection of the ECP and its operation in the optimal mode in the "formation-well-pump" system.
