FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ethylene polymer, as well as to a method for producing same. Ethylene polymer is a multimodal high density polyethylene having a melt flow rate (MFR2) from 0.05 to 10.0 g/10 min and melt flow rate (MFR21) from 20 to 100 g/10 min, z is the average molecular weight (Mz) from 400 to 700 kD, tensile modulus of not less than 900 MPa. Ratios of the average molecular weight (Mn), weight-average molecular weight (Mw) and Mz in polyethylene correspond to the formula Mz/Mw≤0.29(Mw/Mn)+0.8.
EFFECT: ethylene polymer according to the invention provides an improved material for direct compression, in particular for injection moulding, in particular for caps and closures, a material that combines very good mechanical properties in terms of full notch creep test (FNCT) and tensile modulus, with excellent workability and appearance.
