FIELD: cables.
SUBSTANCE: cable comprising one or more conductors surrounded by at least an inner semiconductive layer, an insulating layer and an outer semiconducting layer in said order, where the insulating layer is non-crosslinked and contains at least 90 wt % of polymer composition, wherein said polymer composition contains (I) from 85.0 to 99.5 wt % LDPE and (II) from 0.5 to 15.0 wt % of HDPE having a density of at least 940 kg/m3, or from 1.5 to 15.0 wt % of ultra-high molecular polyethylene, having Mw of at least 1,000,000.
EFFECT: mixtures according to the present invention are not susceptible to creep, and therefore these mixtures can be used in layers of cables without the need to carry out a crosslinking reaction to impart a thermosetting property to the layer.
