FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-insulating systems, in particular to thermal barrier coatings, and can be used to protect parts of aircraft and ground-based high-pressure turbines. Method of obtaining a thermal barrier coating with transverse microcracks on the parts includes applying ceramic layer type zirconium dioxide ZrO2, stabilised with yttrium oxide Y2O3, on an adhesive sublayer of a MCrAlY type alloy, applied on the part to be protected by thermal spraying, wherein after applying the ceramic layer, the coating is treated by sintering by scanning the ceramic layer with a plasmatron beam, where in process of scanning, the temperature at the point of incidence of the beam on the surface of the ceramic layer is set to 1,300 °C to 1,700 °C.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the resistance of the coating to erosion and microcracking.
