FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy of precious metals, in particular to platinum jewellery alloys used in jewelry production. Proposed jewelry platinum alloy contains platinum, palladium, zinc, zirconium and copper in the following proportions of the components, mass%: platinum 58.0–60.0; palladium 5.0–10.0; zinc 1.0–2.0; zirconium 0.01–0.05; copper – the rest. Melting of the alloy based on platinum is carried out from components with the addition of a modifying master alloy in one crucible of one melting chamber of the furnace. First, the crucible is evenly heated to the melting point of the components and the melt is held for 10 minutes, then the melt is poured into the mold in an inert medium, held for 10 minutes and then the ingot is cooled in water.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining an alloy with a homogeneous fine-grained structure that has an optimum ratio of hardness and plasticity.
