SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production systems. In the method, a production module for processing a product or manipulating a product in a production system contains a product detection module; product transmission ports to adjacent production modules; an interaction module for assigning an adjacent production module to one of the transmission ports and a data memory for storing a local correspondence table. There is also a matching module for iteratively reading the first correlation information of the correspondence table of the first adjacent module and for iteratively building a local correspondence table based on the first read correlation information, as well as for iteratively sending the second correlation information of the local correspondence table to the second adjacent production module. Said transmission module determines the transport targets for the product in the production system based on the read product parameters, selects the transmission port associated with the specific transportation target in the local compliance table, and sends the product through the selected transmission port.

EFFECT: increased flexibility in responding to changes in the production system.
