SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport units with overhead traction rope. Device for attaching a vehicle to traction rope (2) contains fastener (16), made to attach the vehicle to traction rope (2). Fastener (16) contains at least two rotating elements (from 17 to 20), made to occupy the connecting position (F), wherein said at least two rotating elements (from 17 to 20) are in contact with traction rope (2) and the vehicle is attached to traction rope (2). Device contains regulating means (31), made to change the rotation speed of the above-mentioned at least two rotating elements (from 17 to 20), when said at least two rotating elements (from 17 to 20) are in the connecting position (F) so that the vehicle moves relative to traction rope (2).
EFFECT: as a result, it is not necessary to provide stations with complex and cumbersome launch and deceleration sections.
