FIELD: pulp industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the pulp and paper industry. In the method, the aggregate filler composition contains filler particles of ground calcium carbonate, a pretreatment agent selected from polyvinylamine and cationic polyacrylamide, or a mixture thereof and a nanofibrillar cellulose. Said aggregate filler composition is in the form of a slurry. Said pretreatment agent has an average molecular weight below 6,000,000 g/mol and a has a charge density below 7 meq/g, determined at pH 7. Nanofibrillar cellulose is present in an amount of about 0.1–40 % of the dry weight of the filler particles.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the strength of paper with a high filler content by improving the bond between the fibers and the filler.
