SUBSTANCE: described is an isolated caninised antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to Programmed Cell Death Receptor 1 (PD-1), characterised in that said antibody contains a canine IgG heavy chain and canine light chain kappa; characterised in that canine light chain kappa comprises three complementarity determining regions (CDR): CDR 1 light chain (CDRL1), CDR 2 light chain (CDRL2) and CDR 3 light chain (CDRL3); and canine IgG heavy chain comprises three heavy chain CDRs: CDR 1 heavy chain (CDRH1), CDR 2 heavy chain (CDRH2) and CDR 3 heavy chain (CDRH3); where CDRL1 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 20; CDRL2 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 22; CDRL3 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 24; CDRH1 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 14; CDRH2 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 16 and CDRH3 contains the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 18; where the antibody and antigen-binding fragment thereof bind to the canine PD-1 and block the binding of the canine PD-1 with canine Programmed Cell Death Ligand 1 (PD-L1). Invention also relates to the use of said antibodies in the treatment of dogs.
EFFECT: antibody of the invention has a high binding affinity for canine PD-1.
