SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to a reverse gear braking device for a parallel-shaft gearbox. Gearbox contains a reverse gear axle installed in the gearbox housing. It has an intermediate gear for reverse gear, constantly engaging with the primary gear for reverse gear. Intermediate gear is configured to move between the off and reverse position under the control of front-drive cam (12) driven by shift finger (3). Finger (3) moves in a pivotal motion with axis (2) of choice, for selecting a transmission line and moving translational motion in lock (11) locked on axis (2) of choice. Finger (3) moves key (13) installed inside lock (11), entering radially into cam (12) of the forward gear.
EFFECT: more efficient reverse gear braking is achieved.
