FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: synchronizer comprises shaft (1), pinions (3) and (4) mounted on the shaft, housing (9) with synchronizing cones (11) and (12) and shaped slot (10), gearing clutch (13), and switching wheel (22). Gearings (3) and (4) are provided with synchronizing cones (5) and (6) and gearing rims (7) and (8). Gearing clutch (13) moves along shaft (1) and is connected with housing (9) through the spring-loaded locator (14). Switching ring (22) is connected with gearing clutch (13) through pin (23). Housing (9) moves between pinions (3) and (4). The synchronizer has intermediate cam clutch (24). Clutch (24) is mounted on the shaft (1) concentrically to gearing clutch (13) which is connected with it through locking pin (34) and moves with respect to the shaft and gearing clutch. The gearing is set in operation in two stages: the preliminary actuating of the cams of intermediate cam clutch (24) and appropriate pinion with the adjustment of the frequency of the members to be set in operation and complete actuating which provides engaging gearing rims of gearing clutch (13) with the pinion.
