Receive igmp messages from the client on the port of the switching device. Send this message to the controller for further analysis. Based on the message received on the controller, determine the port of the client requested the multicast group. Select the source of multicast traffic from the list of sources. Carry out the construction of the path from the source to the multicast client according to various criteria. Determine the switching devices for which you need to set routing rules. Set switching rules defined in the previous step switching devices. Determine changes in the state of the network with the controller. Multicast tree is rebuilt according to various criteria, taking into account the network topology updated at the previous step. Determine the presence of clients not receiving multicast traffic. Update openflow rules on switching devices so that all clients receive multicast traffic.
EFFECT: technical result is minimization of the amount of multicast traffic by various criteria.
