SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and can be used to effectively protect populated areas, ammunition depots or other explosives and combustible substances from forest or other fires. Method of permanent protection of settlements and other protected objects from forest or other fires includes a water tower, a natural or artificial reservoir with a pumping station. Fire pipe with gushing nozzles of directional action is mounted around the perimeter of the settlement and protected objects, which are supplied with the help of a control panel under pressure in the right direction depending on the current situation, the required amount of water both in portions and around 360 degrees for timely warning of fires in case of forest or other fires that approach the boundaries of rural settlements, and subsequent conservation of residential buildings and all associated infrastructure with outbuildings, as well as other objects protected from fires (ammunition depots, oil storage facilities, fuel and lubricant storage facilities), intact from fire.

EFFECT: method of permanent protection of settlements and other protected objects from forest or other fires has been proposed.
