SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method of conditioning granular fertilizer for improved suppression of dust formation and / or improving agricultural efficiency includes: providing a plurality of fertilizer granules having a surface temperature of about 50 °F (10 °C) to about 250 °F (121 °C) feeding a given amount of aqueous conditioning reagent into a conditioning tank in an amount of about 0.1 wt% to about 10 wt% with respect to the total weight of fertilizer, applying mechanical energy and / or a fluidized bed reactor on the granular fertilizer containing an aqueous conditioning agent to enhance the interaction between the granules, and removing substantially all of the aqueous conditioning agent contained in the granules, to a final moisture content of the granules at a level of about 0 wt% to about 6.5 wt% relative to the weight of the granules.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a method for effectively and efficiently reducing dust formation during the processing of granular fertilizers and to increase the agricultural efficiency of fertilizers.
