FIELD: monitoring and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for detecting surface defects of cylindrical objects relates to instrumentation and can be used in the production of nuclear fuel, in particular for detecting defects on the lateral surface of fuel pellets. Essence of the claimed technical solution is that the proposed device comprises a guide for positioning the objects being controlled, an analytical device and N optical channels, each of which contains a light source, a translucent mirror, a condenser, a correction lens, a matrix image receiver, the output of which is connected to the corresponding input of the analytical device. Overpressure chamber is installed at the input of each optical channel between the object being controlled and the first optical surface, the optical channels are arranged in series in the direction of movement of the object being controlled, and the guide is made as a single piece with local slots opposite the optical channels.
EFFECT: technical result of the implementation of the claimed solution is the simplified design and increased reliability of the device.
