SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method of assessing the loss of grain for the threshing and separating device of combine harvester includes installation before the passage of the combine in the inter-row spacing of the two samplers symmetrically with respect to the axis of the passage of the combine at a distance from each other equal to 0.6 of the width of the threshing-separating device. Grain losses weighed into the samplers after the combine pass are weighed and determine the average for samplers and the average per unit of area of the losses for the threshing-separating device.
EFFECT: proposed method reduces the complexity in determining the loss of grain.
