SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of infrared image sensors. Result is achieved by receiving, through a processing device, input image (IB) captured by an array of pixels sensitive to infrared radiation; determining, based on the input image and based on column component vector (VCOL), first scale factor (α) by estimating the level of the column spread present in the input image; generating column offset values (α.VCOL(y)) based on the product of the first scale factor and vector values; determining, based on the input image and based on a matrix of 2D variations (IDISP), second scale factor (β) by estimating the level of 2D variation present in the input image; generating pixel offset values (β.IDISP(x,y)) based on the product of the second scale factor and the matrix values; and generating corrected image (IC') by applying column and pixel offset values.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of image processing.
