FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane, its application on roofs, waterproofing system, method for waterproofing roofs, waterproof roofs and the use of trialdimine to increase the rate of curing of a one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane. This membrane contains at least one polyurethane polymer with isocyanate functional groups, at least one trialdimine of formula (I) and at least one dialdimine of formula (II) or dialdimine of formula (III). Trialdimine of formula (I) is
,
where A is a moiety remaining after removal of the primary amino groups from polyoxypropylene triamine with an average molecular weight in the range of from 380 to 5,000 g / mol, R1 and R2 represent C1-C12 linear or branched alkyls, R3 represents hydrogen, and R4 and R5 are part of a 5–8 membered heterocyclic ring, which, in addition to the nitrogen atom, may contain an ether group. Dialdimine of formula (II) is
,
where G is a bivalent fragment of 3-aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine or hexamethylene-1,6-diamine, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 the same as indicated in formula (I). Dialdimine of formula (III) is
,
where G is a divalent fragment of 3-aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine or hexamethylene-1,6-diamine, R6 represents C11 alkyl, and R1, R2 and R3 are the same as in formula (I). Further, the ratio of the number of aldimine groups in trialdimine to the number of aldimine groups in dialdimine is in the range from 90/10 to 40/60. This membrane has a low odor, a long shelf life stability, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and it cures fast to form a solid elastic material.
EFFECT: liquid-applied waterproofing membrane is particularly suitable for roofs, since it has high strength, high elongation and good wear resistance under the influence of environmental conditions in the open air in a wide temperature range.
