SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tobacco industry, more particularly to electronic cigarettes. Method is proposed for synchronizing a certain feature between the first electronic smoking system containing the first electronic system for providing steam, and a second electronic smoking system containing a second electronic steam system, with the first and second electronic smoking systems being members of some synchronization group. Method includes the following steps: associating the first electronic smoking system with the group identifier (ID) associated with the synchronization group; detecting some signal from the second electronic smoking system, wherein said signal contains data indicating that the second electronic smoking system is a member of the specified group; and changing the setting associated with some illuminated portion of the first electronic steam supply system to a setting common to the members of the group.
