FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to photochromic verification of the identity or authenticity of an object and can be used to improve the reliability of visual verification of authenticity and to protect against forgery of various valuable documents and products by applying a photosensitive identification mark based on bacteriorhodopsin. Mark contains a substrate, on the inner surface of which a layer of a photochromic composition in the form of a gelatin film with an integrated weighted bacteriorhodopsin and modifier of bacteriorhodopsin properties having thickness of 10÷30 microns, and a protective layer of an optically transparent film easily destructible when attached to a substrate and to a layer of a photochromic composition by means of an optically transparent adhesive, in the following ratio of components of the photochromic composition: bacteriorhodopsin 3.0÷7.0, gelatin 55÷75, bacteriorhodopsin properties modifier 20÷40.
EFFECT: photosensitive security mark for visual identification is proposed.
